London, UK – April 15th 2025

Insure Alert, in partnership with Claim Technology, has launched a Motor Storage Database, designed to help insurers improve efficiency and reduce costs by providing timely alerts when a vehicle of interest is placed into storage.

This free-to-access database has generated interest from UK police forces and will allow insurers to quickly identify and relocate stored vehicles to a preferred repairer or salvage provider, avoiding unnecessary storage fees and delays. With storage costs averaging £26 per day per vehicle, this solution is projected to save the industry over £100 million per year.

Further savings will be achieved through visual inspection AI, which helps insurers assess whether a vehicle should be recovered for repair or sent to salvage, reducing manual decision-making and improving claims processing efficiency.

“This database addresses a key challenge in motor claims management,” said Marc Haldron, CEO of Insure Alert. “By providing real-time storage alerts, we are helping insurers act faster and optimise their claims handling processes.”

Claim Technology, a market leader in embedded insurtech solutions, has integrated the Motor Storage Database into insurer workflows, ensuring seamless access and adoption.

“We are pleased to support this initiative, which aligns with our focus on creating zero-touch motor claims experiences and reducing indemnity costs,” said Michael Lewis, CEO at Claim Technology.
